I've been going to this restaurant for quite sometime and have never written a revue so here goes... I really like Japanese food except they're desert they can't do desert in my opinion at least what I've tried.... So I'm here at Tokyo Sushi and I order a spider roll which is soft shell crab, avocado rice; seaweed and some delicious sauce in between the layers... I always judge a Japanese restaurant on how good there rice is, because to me it can make or break the whole experience; and the rice at this place is spot on.... I ordered " a boat" this time I went because it's a sample of a few different things which is cool, it also comes with miso soup which is delicious .. If you decide to go here try to get here around 11:30 it can tend to get busy at lunch and they usually only have one wait person... I recommend this place sashimi is super fresh and the rice is perfect

I came here recently and I don't even recognize my old review. The restaurant seemed fine as far as cleanliness and the waitress was wearing a mask. Came in for the lunch specials (tokyo bowl and bento box lunch specials). Portions are big but a bit rice heavy. I would definitely still come again.

Fast and high quality! I work very close to the store front and my co-workers and I love grabbing lunch from here! It is so affordable and is a perfect lunch. Two rolls will only run you 11 dollars! They give you soy sauce and spicy Mayo to take out upon request. I highly recommend stopping by!

First let me start by saying, I'm a good cook. I can make it all Asian, Mexican, Italian or Indian. Secondly I hate wasting money on food. If I can do better at home or I feel like mweh after eating I'm not a happy Karen. Today I was pleasantly pleased with Tokyo Sushi. There is no ambiance here. It's a great place for a quick bite or lunch. The service was good and responsive. Everything I ate was a solid 4. I liked the cucumber salad. I prefer it a little more vinegary than sweet but a splash of soy doctored it just right. The Tom Yum soup was yummy and the spider app was good too. I would recommend this place.

I've ordered takeout from here multiple times and always had a good experience. This location is located right across the street from Oakland University so it's very convenient for students. The food has always tasted great and for the most part it's moderately priced, however sushi can get pretty expensive depending on what you get. This time I came for lunch with a friend since I've never actually dined in here. We were told to sit wherever we wanted. The place wasn't very busy which might have been a good thing because it seems there is just one waitresses( but I'm assuming when they get busy others step in and help). Since it was mostly empty serve was fast and the food came out quickly too. I ordered some green tea with vegetables fried rice and 3 separate rolls: one avocado roll, one avocado, and cucumber hand roll and one caterpillar roll with fried tofu. The caterpillar rolls are always my favorite they taste amazing! Although I ate all my sushi, I took the rest of my fried rice home as they give you a really good portion. I see reviews ranting about the food being good but the service being terrible so maybe the way to go is to come in when they're not busy? Either way I had a decent experience and wouldn't mind coming back.
